My Funds
Got Funds? Better access to your ‘My Funds’ report is here!!
Beginning today, access for Fund Managers and PI/CO-PIs to your ‘My Funds’ report (also known as AFBR) will be available via a simple link on several Mines web pages, as well as through the previous method via Trailhead.
How do I view my ‘My Funds’ report?
Just click a ‘My Funds’ link, sign in on the welcome screen with your regular Mines credentials, and your ‘My Funds’ report will automatically run. You’ll find the quick link to your ‘My Funds’ report below, and on the following pages:

Want the details on this improvement?
An upgrade to Cognos, the school’s reporting software, makes it possible to autorun your ‘My Funds’ report via a web link using your sign on credentials!
And what about Trailhead?
While access to ‘My Funds’ via Trailhead is still available, after signing in to Trailhead and selecting ‘My Funds’ from the left navigation panel as usual, you will be prompted to sign in to the welcome screen for Cognos with your credentials. But why bother with a few clicks when you can do it in just two with a quick link?
Where’s the suggestion box?
We’re here to help you get to your ‘My Funds’ report with the greatest of ease, so let us know how the quick links work for you – suggest their placement on other Mines web pages, or let us know if we can help you bookmark the URL for even quicker access to your My Funds report. ORA is ready to listen to your ‘My Funds’ link experience at ora@mines.edu.
What about those without funds – anything new with the ‘pull-down’ version of the report?
Direct application access to the version of the ‘My Funds’/AFBR report available for program assistants and other Cognos report users will not change, but Cognos 11 does look a little bit different than the previous version (there’s a training video! see below). One difference: the top level folder (represented by a folder with two people on it) is called ‘Team Content’ rather than ‘Public Folders’. But the rest of the path is the same, so: Team Content > Finance > General Campus > Controller Campus > AFBR > AFBR L1-summary. Another difference: when you’re at the summary page of AFBR and are ready to re-run the report for a different PI/Fund Manager, you’ll need to hit the run icon at page top but select the last item ‘Reset prompts and run’.

Is that all there is?
Stay tuned to the Daily Blast – CCIT will announce more general information about the upgrade to Cognos 11. For general Cognos report users, there is a short training video available which highlights the changes that come with version 11. Log in to Trailhead, select the Skillsoft tile in the Go Bar area and then select the Featured Topic ‘Banner Training and Resources’ link on the left navigation panel of the Skillsoft home page. Click the link for Banner Training and Resources in the page body to expand the list of resources, and ‘enroll’ in the resource. You’ll find The Cognos 11 Training Video last, but not least, on that list.
